Alhumdulillah, we are pleased to announce that ICCC is collaborating with the Parsippany Masjid and Islamic Center to host the 2026 Quran Memorization Competition!
The competition will take place on: November 7th, 2026 at 1:30pm. The competition will begin after Salatul Dhuhr.
The fee to register is $10 per contestant.
Competition Details (IMPORTANT)
This year, the competitors will be divided into one of four age groups with their own selection of Surahs for memorization:
- Ages 7 and below: Fatihah, Qadr, Falaq, Fil, Maauun, Zalzalah
- Ages 8 thru 11: Duha, Takaathur, Adiyaat, Alaq (1-14), Alaa, Tariq
- Ages 12 thru 15: Lail, Naba, Mulk (ayahs 1-6 & 19-30), Rahman (ayahs 1-25), Yaseen (ayahs 1-12 & 71-83)
- Ages 16 and above: Muzzammil, Qiyamah, Waqiah, Mursalaat, Rahman, Luqman
Each entrant will be placed in their appropriate group based on their age, but contestants will have the option for competing in a higher age group if they wish.
Dress Code
As this Quran competition will be held in the Masjid, appropriate Islamic attire is required for all participants. We kindly ask everyone to dress in a manner befitting the sanctity of the Masjid and honor of the Quran. There will be no T-shirts, clothing with words or pictures, and no shorts permitted.
Judging
Contestants will be judged on:
- Memorization
- Tajweed
- Waqf (stopping rules)
- Maqamat (voice/delivery/confidence)
- Dress Attire (specifically, adherence to appropriate, formal Islamic attire )
Prizes and Gifts
The top three finishers in each age group will be rewarded handsomely. Exact prizes will be revealed on the day of the competition.
