Policies and Rules

Welcome to ICCC’s Saturday School! Note the following policies and rules that are in effect through the course of the year:

  • Children must pray Salatul Dhuhr before leaving ICCC. Dhuhr Iqamah is 1:15pm throughout the year.
  • Parents must also come in and physically accompany children for dismissal. Children will not be permitted to leave without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Sisters of all ages (children and parents) should wear religiously appropriate head coverings through the duration of the school day.
  • It is understood that Saturday school is an investment on behalf of both parents and teachers.
  • Children will receive homework assignments throughout the year, the expectation is that they complete them before the due dates.
  • Parent-Teacher conferences will be scheduled 2-3 times over the course of the school year.
  • Students are expected to bring their books and school material to class each week. Failure to do this will result in disciplinary action.
  • Absences: All absences must be notified to the student’s teachers and Saturday school administration via email (ss@ic3nj.com).
  • More than 3 unexcused absences will result in disciplinary action from the Saturday school administration that may involve expulsion from the program without refund.
  • All parents and students should adhere to the ICCC general Code of Conduct, which emphasizes respect, safety, and Islamic manners (adab). The Code of Conduct is available at our website (here).
  • By registering my child, parent(s) give permission for their child(ren) to participate in all activities organized by ICCC Saturday School, including classroom lessons, prayer time, indoor and outdoor activities, and any supervised off-site field trips.
  • Parents acknowledge that participation in ICCC Saturday School activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, or other minor injuries. I voluntarily assume all such risks on behalf of my child.
  • In consideration for children being permitted to participate, parents release, waive, and hold harmless the ICCC, its officers, directors, employees, teachers, volunteers, agents, and affiliates (collectively “the Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liabilities of any kind arising out of or related to their child’s participation in ICCC activities, whether occurring on or off ICCC premises.
  • This release covers ordinary negligence but does not cover gross negligence, reckless behavior, or intentional misconduct by the Released Parties.
  • Teachers and staff are authorized to take reasonable, non-physical disciplinary measures when necessary to maintain order and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all students.
  • Examples of such measures may include verbal correction, time-outs, removal from an activity, written reflection assignments, or contacting parents.
  • Parents release and hold harmless ICCC, its staff, and volunteers from any claims arising out of good-faith disciplinary actions consistent with ICCC policy and reasonable professional judgment.
  • If a child repeatedly violates ICCC rules, the administration reserves the right to suspend or dismiss the child’s enrollment, without refund, to protect the well-being of the class and staff.
  • Parents acknowledge that infectious diseases (including COVID-19, influenza, RSV, and other illnesses) may be present in public or group settings, and that the ICCC cannot eliminate all risk of exposure.
  • Parents acknowledge the contagious nature of such illnesses and voluntarily assume the risk that their child may be exposed while participating in ICCC programs.
  • Parents agree to monitor their child for symptoms of illness and keep them home if they show signs of infection.
  • Parents release the ICCC and the Released Parties from any claims or liability arising from such exposure or transmission, except where caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
  • In the event of a medical emergency involving their child, parents authorize ICCC staff or volunteers to seek emergency medical care or transport their child to a hospital or clinic as deemed necessary.
  • Parents understand that efforts will be made to contact them before treatment, but if they cannot be reached, they authorize such treatment to proceed.
